A Tuition-Free, Early College Program

什么是早期大学? 

Early college is an opportunity for high school students to earn a college degree, by taking a combination of high school 和 college courses. 学生 earn both a high school diploma 和 an associate degree – cost free. Upon completion of an early college program, students may directly pursue a career or continue with higher education.

学生 start 启动你 in the 10th or 11th grade, depending on their pathway. 的y attend high school classes at their regular high school or online 和 then attend college courses at Kent ISD 到12年级. 的se college courses are taught by instructors from 大急流城 社区 College.  During their "13th grade", students attend college courses full-time at GRCC.

College 和 职业生涯 Readiness Built-in

We help 启动你 students be prepared for success, in 和 out of the classroom. While they learn the academic 和 technical knowledge to earn their degree, our students also gain the skills 和 experience they need to be successful professionals.

Our built-in college 和 career readiness curriculum prepares students with the behaviors 和 skills necessary in any college or professional environment. +, 企业参观, 研讨会, job shadows 和 internships allow students to see professionals in action 和 explore a variety of career options.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to apply to 启动你, students must: 

• Be a current 9th-grade student in a public or charter school in Kent County (for the General Associate or Engineering & Mechanical Design programs)
• Be enrolled at KCTC (for Networking & Cyber Security or Hospitality & 烹饪)
